What /deliver Does
By default, everything your Ally does stays inside this chat window. It's a safe sandbox — nothing goes out unless you say so. /deliver is the switch that controls whether your Ally sends its work to outside channels.
Think of it like a draft folder vs. send button. /deliver off is drafts only. /deliver on means your Ally hits send.
Try this: Draft a message or report with /deliver off (the default). Review it in the chat. When it's ready, type /deliver on and ask your Ally to send it. You stay in control of what goes out.
The Two States
- /deliver off (default) — Everything stays in the chat. Nothing gets sent to Slack, email, or anywhere else. Use this while working through ideas.
- /deliver on — Your Ally can send responses to the channels it's connected to. Only turn this on when you're ready for your Ally's work to go somewhere.
When to Turn Delivery On
- You drafted a report and want your Ally to post it to your team's Slack channel.
- You asked your Ally to send you a morning briefing to your email.
- Your Ally completed a task you want recorded outside the chat (daily standup, weekly summary, etc.).
When to Keep It Off
- You're brainstorming or iterating. Stay in draft mode until you're happy with the result.
- You're asking your Ally to research or analyze something privately. No need to broadcast the process.
- You're not sure what your Ally will produce yet. Let it answer in chat first, review, then decide.
